Handmade rice or flax seed bags are a great and convenient way to have a heating pad without having to plug in. Toss them in the microwave for a minute or two depending on your microwave and apply as you would a heating pad. They are great for heat therapy, pain relief, muscle aches, menstrual cramps, inflammation or any other reason you would want to apply heat. They also work great to warm your toes in bed or to keep a dish warm on the dinner table. Put them in a bag in the freezer for 1-2 hours and they work great as an ice/cold pack. In addition to medicinal purposes they are helpful in the heat of the summer to help cool you off.

Add an essential oil for fragrance and aromatherapy to your heating pad or you have the option of unscented. The scents we have available are unscented, lavender or mint scented with 100% essential oils.

The rice or flax seed bag is sewn in three sections to keep the rice evenly distributed in a neutral muslin fabric and comes with an attractive washable cover. It wraps and forms nicely to get to more of the area you need help. It is made from two pretty coordinating patterns and makes a great gift or for your own use. It measures approximately 13" x 6".
